The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, which will take place between 28 August and 8 September, will see more than 4,000 athletes from around the world competing in 549 medal events. The first Paralympic summer Games in the French capital will showcase 22 sports, including both individual and team sports.



 The 2024 Games are expected to showcase remarkable talent, with athletes demonstrating extraordinary skill and connection with their horses.


Para-Dressage is unique because it allows athletes with a range of disabilities to compete on equal terms, using a system of classification. Riders are divided into five different grades based on their functional abilities, with Grade I athletes having the most severe impairments and Grade V the least. Each rider performs a series of movements, known as a test, which is judged for precision, fluidity, and the harmony between horse and rider.
